Sanitary pad specification guide
What to specify when sourcing sanitary napkins, from size and absorbency to the top sheet and core, so quotations are comparable and accurate.
Clear specifications get comparable quotes. These are the details that most affect a sanitary pad's cost and performance.
What to specify
- Length and size. Regular, large, extra long or overnight, and the width you need.
- Absorbency. The level for day or night use, confirmed to your market.
- Top sheet. Dry weave for a dry feel, or a soft cottony surface.
- Core. Fluff pulp, often with a super absorbent polymer that gels and locks fluid away.
- Wings. With or without, and the adhesive placement.
- Packaging. Pieces per pack, individual wrapping, and brand artwork.
Why it matters
A thinner pad is not automatically better, and more absorbency is not free. The best specification balances a dry surface, reliable absorbency and a comfortable fit for the intended user. We confirm exact figures with the manufacturing partner against your brief.
