Buyer guide

Disposable underpads: a buyer specification guide

What to specify when sourcing disposable underpads, from size and construction to absorbency and packaging, so quotes are comparable and accurate.

Underpads look simple but small specification differences change cost and performance. Specifying clearly gets you comparable, accurate quotations.

What to specify
  • Size. Common formats include 60 by 60 cm and 60 by 90 cm. State the exact size you need.
  • Top sheet. The surface against the skin, chosen for softness and a dry feel.
  • Absorbent core. Fluff pulp, often with a super absorbent polymer that locks fluid into a gel.
  • Backing. The leak barrier, and whether it should be non slip for beds and chairs.
  • Absorbency. The volume it should hold, confirmed against your use case.
  • Packaging. Pieces per pack, pack and carton format, and any brand artwork.
Home vs institutional

Home care and hospital or facility use can call for different sizes, absorbency and pack formats. Tell us the setting and we will match the right product.

We confirm exact specifications with the manufacturing partner against your requirement rather than publishing figures we have not verified for your order.
